Engineer - Salary 65-85K plus bonus
Our
client is the largest administrator of electricity demand
response programs in the United States. Demand response
is a viable resource option for reducing peak electricity
use helping to stabilize the power grid during times of
crisis. These critical programs are available at a time
when additional reduction is necessary in the face of increasing
demands for electricity and the likelihood of continued
shortfalls. They currently have a need for an Energy Engineer
to join their team.
Job
duties include all aspects of conducting energy audits at
commercial and industrial facilities, project management
including meeting with customers to gather information about
their current energy systems (HVAC, lighting, generators,
process loads, etc.) and energy management systems, experience
in building automation and controls, performance contracting,
developing demand side management strategies, analyzing
interval data, estimating demand response capacity and writing
demand response audit reports.
This
engineer will work closely with upper management and clients
to complete audits and promote demand response products
and services. This position requires a broad knowledge of
energy consuming systems within facilities and energy management
systems.
We
are seeking a motivated individual who is willing to see
audit reports through to completion while excelling in client
relations. Local travel to customer sites with some travel
to other regions of New York may be required. There may
be travel to other market areas as opportunities arise in
the future. Candidate should have a strong computer background
and be able to navigate through computer systems smoothly.
Qualifications/Skills/Education:
The
ideal candidate will have a background in energy management
systems, energy consulting, electrical or mechanical contract
management services or utility services. CEM background
is a plus. Experience with energy audits, measurement and
verification, cogeneration, water efficiency, and green
building design is also helpful.
Required:
B.S./B.E.
degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
A technical and/or service-oriented background in energy
management systems, facility management, energy consulting,
electrical or mechanical contract management services or
utility services
Experience with Microsoft Office programs especially Word
and Excel as well as a general computing background
Demonstrates capability in technical/business writing
Clear and concise communication skills both written and
verbal
